Responsibilities
  • Prepare materials and conduct content research for the daily program.
  • Participate in creating the daily live broadcast.
  • Edit audio excerpts for possible airing within the radio program.
  • Obtain and prepare real-time event audio during broadcasts for host consideration.
  • Transcribe selected audio and summarize its context for the hosts and other producers.
  • Screen listener phone calls while monitoring the program and current on-air conversations.
  • Schedule guests and coordinate their appearance times and technical logistics.
  • Assume the Executive Producer responsibilities more than 20 times per year while continuing the Associate Producer duties.
  • Prepare audio soundbites in advance and incorporate host feedback into program content.

Castor will oversee KAAZ-FM, KJMY-FM, KNRS-FM, KNRS-AM, KODJ-FM and KZHT-FM. In the role, he will lead the market's business strategy, revenue growth and client partnerships while overseeing the company's local organization.
