YOUR TASKS

• You are a subject-matter expert and work as part of an interdisciplinary team on the development of our productive ML platform based on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• You are responsible for the conception, development as well as implementation of robust and scalable components of our internal ML platform – this includes the implementation of machine learning pipelines, monitoring tools and governance mechanisms that support the entire lifecycle of ML models
• You drive the development of production-ready Python libraries and follow the highest quality standards, best practices as well as architectures that enable efficient and maintainable ML development
• You implement modern MLOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to ensure the stable, scalable and secure operation of our AI systems on GCP
• You ensure the smooth operation of our AI systems and proactively take care of quality, scalability, performance and security
• You work closely with data scientists, business stakeholders and tech teams and support the entire lifecycle of ML models, from conception through deployment to monitoring and optimization

YOUR PROFILE

• You have several years of professional experience in the development and operationalization of data and AI products
• You have outstanding knowledge of Python, in particular in the development of scalable, robust and tested Python packages and applications and are familiar with clean code principles, software architecture patterns and modern development processes
• You have deep hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as well as its relevant services (e.g. Vertex AI / Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE) and also have solid knowledge as well as practical experience in MLOps, CI/CD and the use of tools such as Terraform and dbt
• You understand and master the entire lifecycle of machine learning models – from experimentation through training, deployment, monitoring to retraining strategy – and can efficiently map this on a platform
• You are characterized by strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and a proactive approach to solving complex problems
• Good communication skills as well as fluent English and ideally German language skills complete your profile
