Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or related field.
  • 1+ year experience in Quality Engineering
  • Ability to manipulate, visualize, understand, and communicate data
  • Ability to provide weekend/holiday/vacation support as needed
  • Ability to work any shift as needed
Responsibilities
  • Perform early issue identification, tracking and resolution to ensure segment leadership.
  • Provide clear and timely communication to Quality management relative to quality issues.
  • Preform problem solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Assist in validation of production components meeting print specifications
  • Facilitate Quality Review meetings and integrity of presentation materials.
  • Ability to coach, teach and audit elements of GM Quality Manual and GMS BIQ Principle and Elements, ISO and IATF standards. Ensure plant process aligned with changing corporate Quality Requirements.
  • Recommend innovation solutions to global quality requirement documentation structure.
  • Facilitate Quality System Certification Process – (i.e. ISO 9000 / IATF 16949)
  • Manage the QMS Audit Program / 3 Year Review Process / Plant Internal Audits
  • Participate in root cause analysis & corrective actions
  • Provide statistical analysis of manufacturing process data
  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement (Scrap reduction, throughput improvement, etc.)
  • Verify compliance to quality requirements and procedures
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of common problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma, Red X, Shainin, etc.)
  • Ability to safely operate laboratory equipment
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Minitab – Intermediate or Advanced Skills
  • Strong Built in Quality knowledge
  • Understanding of ISO/IATF
