About the job

Requirements
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in management consulting, customer success, account management, or similar client-facing, analytical, or strategic roles at health technology or value-based care companies.
  • Prior healthcare experience is required.
  • Expertise in at least one area of value-based care: risk adjustment, including Medicare and Medicaid risk adjustment rhythms and outcomes; quality measures, including Star Ratings and Medicaid withholds; or cost of care, including accountable care organization programs and care transitions, with meaningful familiarity across the other areas.
  • Ability to independently lead client relationships, including senior stakeholder management, without regular manager involvement in day-to-day interactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and high proficiency analyzing large data sets in Microsoft Excel, including working directly with large, imperfect datasets, structuring analyses, and reaching conclusions.
  • Ability to manage customers and build relationships as a trusted and respected thought partner at multiple levels of a client organization.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing projects while keeping multiple complex workstreams on track simultaneously.
  • Ability to challenge customer thinking through insights and analysis and use data to demonstrate return on investment.
  • Ability to articulate complex problems and solutions clearly while operating under uncertainty and driving conversations and decisions.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools to make workstreams more efficient and scalable.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end customer success strategy for an assigned book of business, setting priorities and driving outcomes with minimal day-to-day direction.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify opportunities to maximize customer value on the Stellar Platform, translating data into narratives and actionable strategies.
  • Build models and quantitative analyses that underpin account strategy, including sizing opportunities, quantifying return on investment, and pressure-testing performance assumptions.
  • Lead weekly and monthly client meetings and own quarterly business review preparation and delivery as the primary point of leadership for assigned accounts.
  • Assess and elevate customer health through key performance indicators and trends, ensuring strategic alignment with customer objectives in value-based care and acting on risks before they escalate.
  • Diagnose complex barriers to success, identify areas for intervention, and independently develop and implement data-driven mitigation strategies.
  • Minimize churn and drive comprehensive renewal strategies, partnering with the Director and Enterprise Growth on high-stakes renewal or expansion conversations as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion and deeper partnership, working with Enterprise Growth to shape, develop, and close new business based on demonstrated and quantifiable client return on investment.
  • Lead and orchestrate cross-functional initiatives and strategic workstreams that directly impact customer outcomes and drive value realization.
  • Bring the customer perspective to the organization and influence strategic thinking and planning across the business.

About the company

Stellar Health builds a web-based, point-of-care app that helps healthcare teams deliver value-based care. The Stellar App sits in providers’ workflows and, when used with modern browsers like Chrome and Edge, centralizes payor-specific tools and spreadsheets into one unified platform. It guides clinicians to complete specific, actionable tasks through real-time notifications and a built-in incentive structure, encouraging behavior that improves patient outcomes while controlling costs. The company partners with payors and health systems and earns revenue by offering the platform to support value-based care programs at scale. Compared with other solutions, Stellar Health emphasizes real-time, task-driven incentives and a single, integrated workspace that connects providers, payors, and health systems. The goal is to help partners achieve better patient outcomes and stronger financial performance by making it easier to manage care across multiple health plans.

What believers are saying

  • March 2026 CFO Raul Smith strengthens payer discipline and financial operating rigor.
  • May 2026 CTO Falko Buttler accelerates AI infrastructure and automated referral workflows.
  • December 2025 CenterLight and November 2025 $5.0 million savings validate commercial traction.

What critics are saying

  • A May 2026 breach report can trigger HIPAA penalties, churn, and contract reviews.
  • Value-based care adoption depends on payor payments; weak unit economics crush expansion speed.
  • Epic, Veradigm, and point-solution rivals can commoditize task prompts before 2027 renewals.

What makes Stellar Health unique

  • Stellar embeds real-time VBC tasks into point-of-care workflows, not separate admin portals.
  • Its 2026 shaco ACO turned Medicare savings into product proof, not theoretical software.
  • Vim integration and 20,000-provider network deepen workflow lock-in across practices.
