Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- At least 1 year of radiologic experience.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
- Licensure by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
Responsibilities
- Utilize all MRI resources to perform high-quality MRI examinations on the entire patient population, from neonates through geriatrics, for physician interpretation.
- Inject patients with contrast media, such as dye, so that images appear on the scanner.
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging scanners that use magnetic fields and contrast agents to produce diagnostic images.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
