We’re actively seeking a talented Director, Annuity Marketing Strategy to join our Marketing Strategy Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. This role offers flexibility for a full-time on-site presence or a hybrid schedule (2+ days in the office per week).
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive engagement, increase market share, and generate leads for annuity across the Retail (Broker/Dealer), RIA, IMO, and Structured Settlements markets. You will directly lead a team of marketers while collaborating with experts in Product, Creative, Project Management, and Compliance to support high-impact initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams within the Consumer Markets Division to ensure effective execution of annuity product and thought leadership materials in omni-channel campaigns.
How you’ll help move us forward:
Lead cross-functional teams in creating and executing marketing strategies, campaigns, and communication plans to support annuity product launches, rate changes, new features, and sales strategies.
Manage resource allocation, balance workloads, and guide your team to deliver 20+ product and firm-specific campaigns annually, ensuring high standards and adherence to deadlines.
Present campaign ideas and updates to the Wholesaler Advisory Group, gathering feedback, capturing action items, and directing the team toward successful execution.
Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and skill development through constructive feedback and tailored development plans.
Build Pacific Life’s reputation as a trusted brand for financial advisors in the Retail (Broker/Dealer), RIA, IMO, and Structured Settlements markets by incorporating industry insights into impactful marketing strategies, campaigns, and thought leadership.
Keep leadership and stakeholders informed with timely updates on project status, challenges, and successes, ensuring transparency, accountability and alignment with strategic goals.
Serve as an annuities product expert within Marketing, conveying industry trends, competitive differentiators, and best practices.
Guide the team in producing pitch decks, strategy documents, creative briefs, and campaign plans to support collateral development, sales stories, tools, and digital content.
Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to evaluate campaign performance, deliver actionable insights for improvement, and design measurable lead generation campaigns for future success.
Travel periodically to attend sales and industry conferences
The experience you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, preferred.
10+ years of experience in marketing and product positioning for annuities in Retail (Broker/Dealer), RIA, IMO, and Structured Settlements markets.
5+ years of experience in direct people management, including team development and performance oversight.
Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment with complex projects and tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, data analytics, and lead generation strategies to support data-driven decision-making.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$159,660.00 - $195,140.00
