- Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in engineering, or related field.

- Help Production troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Gather and analyze manufacturing metrics and work with Quality and Manufacturing to define appropriate process changes.
- Consult with vendors about product specifications, arrange equipment, purchase parts and materials, and evaluate products against quality standards and specifications.
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, including related fixtures and tooling, consistent with zero-defect levels and low product cost.
- Document tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and related concepts.
- Design, test, and implement production process improvements that eliminate bottlenecks and capacity limitations.
- Monitor quality data to drive improvement.
- Engage appropriate personnel to identify and resolve corrective and preventive actions addressing Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues, including audit actions, NCNs, and CAPA.
- Lead continuous improvement and Lean implementation efforts to eliminate waste, reduce process variation, and improve throughput.
- Work hands-on and lead teams in larger and more complex waste-reduction and throughput-improvement projects.
- Use SQL and data visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau to collect and communicate critical data to stakeholders.
- Gather data requirements for IT-related projects that increase software efficiency and move the company toward a paper-free factory.
- Develop manufacturing processes using cross-functional participation to ensure equipment and processes are compatible with the entire value stream.
- Apply early equipment management (TPM), workstation design, material presentation, standard work, and single-piece flow practices.
- Create and maintain designs, layouts, drawings, and documentation using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Work cross-functionally with scheduling, planning, manufacturing, engineering, and IT departments.
- Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control techniques.
- Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to coordinate product changes.
- Material handling experience.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.

Daifuku said first-half net income rose 15% to 43.1 billion yen as sales grew 8.9% to 355.5 billion yen. Off the back of that, it raised its forecast for the year ending December 31st to 86.5 billion yen of net income and 735 billion yen of sales, up from 80 billion yen and 700 billion yen. It also lifted its basic earnings per share forecast to 233.55 yen and reiterated it expects to pay 90 yen per share in dividends for the year. Japanese company Daifuku has acquired 100% of shares in Eisenmann GmbH from current shareholder Nimbus Hands-on Investors. The acquisition strengthens Daifuku's manufacturing systems business for the automotive industry, particularly in painting and surface treatment. Eisenmann specialises in innovative automation technologies and sustainable solutions for painting and final assembly, primarily serving European automotive and industrial component manufacturers. Daifuku operates production and sales bases across 24 countries, with automobile production line systems forming a core business. The acquisition enables Daifuku to offer more comprehensive coverage in automotive and industrial manufacturing, from quotation through to after-sales support, tailored to European standards. Both companies expect the deal to enhance proposal capabilities, expand integrated offerings and increase customer value in automotive production line systems.
