Requirements
  • Audiologist with an active unencumbered license in Wisconsin or license eligible in Wisconsin, with licensure required within six months of hire.
  • Earned clinical or academic doctoral degree with a major emphasis in audiology or hearing science.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.
  • Familiarity with Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language-Pathology accreditation requirements and/or experience with other accreditation and regulatory agencies.
  • Effective leadership and management skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative, innovative, and energetic team.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as an educator in an entry-level audiology accredited Doctor of Audiology program.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the United States as a citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or foreign national authorized to work without employer sponsorship.
  • Employment requires a criminal background check.
  • Applicants must provide a minimum of three professional references, including one current or former supervisor.
Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary and strategic leadership to implement the new Doctor of Audiology graduate program.
  • Oversee all aspects of program administration, including curriculum development, applying for accreditation, maintaining compliance, and budget management.
  • Ensure the program aligns with the mission of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the standards of the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language-Pathology.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that prepares graduates for evidence-based, person-centered practice.
  • Represent the program within the university and professional community.
  • Promote innovation in teaching, scholarship, and clinical partnerships.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior leadership experience in an entry-level audiology program; committee leadership within an accredited program may demonstrate this expectation.
  • It is preferred that you supply five professional references, two of which are current or former supervisors.
