Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be trainable in electrical and mechanical inspection requirements, including J-STD-001, IPC-610, and military standards.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Access database.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on solid reasoning regarding acceptance or rejection of material.
  • Strong organizational skills to meet the demands of a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform primarily in-process inspection and, when necessary, receiving and final inspection to assure product compliance with quality assurance standards and applicable specifications.
  • Perform Automated Optical Inspection activities as directed.
  • Perform receiving and final inspection to assure product compliance with engineering design, purchase order requirements, workmanship quality standards, applicable specifications, and commodity product requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering change orders, assembly instructions, and inspection instructions.
  • Perform audits of specific areas, processes, and procedures when directed.
  • Use standard electrical and mechanical inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, mechanical gauges, and other measuring devices.
  • Maintain records of rejected and accepted material and maintain databases for analysis of nonconformities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three years of related experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic assembly methods is desired.
