Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering is required.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor assembly, testing, or packaging engineering within an OSAT or multinational electronics manufacturing environment is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor packaging, materials, and tooling is required.
  • Expert-level understanding of statistical process control, failure mode and effects analysis, 8D problem-solving, Cpk analysis, and measurement system analysis is required.
  • Automotive-grade quality standards, including IATF 16949 and AEC-Q100, are advantageous.
  • Ability to assert Bosch's interests and standards at subcontractor facilities while maintaining collaborative working relationships is required.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills for rapid, data-driven technical problem-solving on the factory floor are required.
  • Verbal and written English communication skills sufficient to present critical risk reports to regional management and engineering leads in Germany are required.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary daily technical communications partner between Bosch Reutlingen and Philippine outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) partners.
  • Build and maintain technical and professional relationships across subcontractor organizational levels, from line operators to executive management.
  • Verify that technical requests and directives from Bosch are understood, accurately implemented, and tracked to completion by the supplier.
  • Perform line audits and process confirmation checks covering customer process flow, process control plans, machine qualification, statistical process control, machine logbooks, and out-of-control action plans to ensure production lines comply with Bosch requirements.
  • Provide rapid support and frequent updates on lots on hold, non-conforming or suspect materials, or lots deviating from target yields and alarm limits to expedite safe material release.
  • Monitor customer returns, analyze failure root causes, track material review boards and 8D reports, and ensure containment and permanent corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Champion the continuous improvement process for Bosch and the subcontractor, contributing to localized engineering and quality optimization teams.
  • Monitor process, line, equipment, or facility modifications in accordance with Bosch's General Specification for Packaging document.
  • Partner with local research and development departments on new leadframes and packages, providing hands-on technical support for high-volume production ramp-ups.
  • Direct and coordinate localized projects initiated by ME/MFX, including yield-improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain a regional network of materials and tooling suppliers to support subcontractor supply chain health.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting when capacity bottlenecks or equipment constraints threaten delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and expedite qualification and engineering lots, reporting real-time status to Bosch to minimize throughput and cycle times.
  • Drive and track key manufacturing metrics and take direct accountability for yield, incoming quality, and product reliability on assigned Bosch production lines at Amkor.
  • Collect, verify, and escalate quality performance reports, including yield curves, Cpk capability indices, and material review board trends, directly to ME/MFX.
  • Coordinate and host third-party customer audits, internal Bosch audits, and visits at subcontractor sites; provide technical audit support to other regional suppliers as required.
  • Provide immediate management updates about regional events or operational changes that could threaten Bosch's business continuity, such as labor strikes, environmental incidents, logistics or airport closures, and key organizational changes.
  • Serve as an on-site subject matter expert to help subcontractors resolve complex engineering problems.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with automotive-grade quality standards, including IATF 16949 and AEC-Q100, is highly advantageous.

The firm earns money through equity investments and the eventual success of its portfolio. RBVC’s goal is to accelerate technological advances across multiple industries by connecting startups with Bosch’s ecosystem, customers (from medical centers to data centers), and global reach.
