Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and maintain displays.
  • Experience or aptitude diagnosing and resolving physical display issues, including lighting components, fixtures, and non-functioning buttons.
  • Experience or aptitude identifying and resolving basic electronic and connectivity issues, including cabling, power, and component integration.
  • Ability to manage an assigned route, prioritize workload, and meet service-level agreements with periodic support and guidance.
  • Ability to read planogram schematics and wiring diagrams and correctly connect components.
  • Proficiency using a personal smartphone or tablet with GPS functionality to upload photos, report assignment data, reference documents while in-store, and schedule visits.
  • Ability to drive on behalf of the company with access to reliable transportation.
  • A basic toolkit including the listed screwdrivers, bits, hammer, drill, wrenches, cutters, pliers, cleaning supplies, and related tools is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 30–60 miles with paid drive time and mileage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for 2–3 days to participate in in-person training.
  • Availability to meet the market area's minimum weekly hours or special project hours request.
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push or pull, talk, hear, and drive.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 10 pounds, regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Continuous hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation.
  • Ability to occasionally travel by flight or other modes of transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Execute scheduled service visits across an assigned route of retail locations while adhering to established schedules and program requirements.
  • Complete assigned work according to established schedules and minimize unnecessary rescheduling.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues to maintain the functionality and performance of assigned displays.
  • Execute installations, display builds, and refreshes, including fixturing, cabling, media players, and security components.
  • Manage and complete ad-hoc service requests within 48–72-hour service-level agreements when required.
  • Ensure compliance with planograms, brand standards, and display requirements across all locations.
  • Identify root causes of recurring issues and help implement lasting solutions.
  • Document and report service activity, outcomes, and insights accurately and on time.
  • Perform merchandising tasks including inventory replenishment, point-of-purchase placement, and pricing or fact-tag execution.
  • Manage and reconcile trunk-stock inventory to ensure replacement parts are available for efficient service delivery and first-time-fix success.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with in-store personnel.
  • Participate in team calls, client interactions, and field ride-alongs as required.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time, including scheduling and same-day reporting.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies, required training, certifications, and professional standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with display installations, merchandising, and planogram execution is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn basic problem-solving techniques focused on identifying and addressing root causes.
  • Comfort performing, or willingness to learn, basic troubleshooting, installation, and repair tasks across hardware, displays, and connected systems.

Channel Partners acquires Retail Merchandising Services, combining 40 years of in-store expertise with real-time retail intelligence platform

Channel Partners Solutions has acquired Retail Merchandising Services, a national merchandising company headquartered in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The deal combines RMS's 40 years of in-store execution experience with Channel Partners' OpenSy™ field intelligence platform, which provides real-time visit verification and AI-powered photo validation. Founded in 1985, RMS operates across all 50 US states and holds Target Preferred Partner designation, granting backroom certification and direct inventory access. The company will continue serving existing clients whilst integrating Channel Partners' technology stack throughout 2026 and 2027. The combined organisation will deliver retail execution services across merchandising, audits, experiential marketing and warehousing. RMS operates using a W-2 employee model and serves brands across consumer electronics, grocery, health and beauty categories.
