Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A state license and current Board of Certification certification in good standing are required.
  • Current Emergency Cardiac Care certification is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills are required for collaboration and stakeholder communication.
  • Computer literacy is required; experience with data entry is a plus, with Apple experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-field game coverage and injury management for on-site locations.
  • Provide rehabilitation services in the athletic training room for on-site locations.
  • Track injuries, complete documentation and referrals, and communicate with relevant parties.
  • Develop and use an emergency action plan.
  • Work collaboratively with the physical therapy team at on-site locations.
  • Develop community and physician relationships.
  • Work at Performance Optimal Health locations during off-hours from on-site locations to support client rehabilitation and provide personal training, strength, and conditioning services.
  • Monitor team practices, athletic equipment, and sporting grounds to help ensure safe training and playing conditions.
  • Educate, instruct, and supervise athletes in the use of rehabilitation equipment and exercises; provide daily counsel and treatment for injuries.
  • Communicate cross-functionally about athletic injuries when and where appropriate.
  • Maintain medical records and treatment forms, complete injury or accident reports, and observe and assist with fitting athletic or rehabilitative equipment.
  • Communicate athletic clearance and injury status to coaches.
  • Stay informed about developments in sports medicine and governmental changes that may affect sports medicine program guidelines and decision-making.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification is preferred.
