Requirements
  • 5+ years of second line leadership experience overseeing an Inside Sales Engineering or Virtual Solution Engineering organization
  • 10+ years of leadership within a SaaS solution engineering organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Technical or Business field
  • Experience working in the software industry, specifically with Solutions Engineers selling SaaS products
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30%
  • Strong leadership of diverse and inclusive teams is crucial
  • Technically curious and able to articulate the value that technology brings to solving customer problems
  • Proven executive communication skills – written and oral. Ability to communicate complex ideas cross functionally across all levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to lead diverse groups of people and able to challenge and develop the team to exceed their goals both personally and professionally
  • Strong ability to inspire others, support an inclusive culture and role model for Splunk’s values
  • Desire to learn, grow and be a part of our expanding and dynamic Team
  • SFDC, Google & Webex platform experience a plus
Responsibilities
  • Be a strategic leader with a legacy of strategy implementation
  • Develop and lead a strong pre-sales engineering shared services team whose main focus is operational excellence and caring for our pre-sales SE associates
  • Partner effectively with internal business partners across sales, customers success, business development, marketing, other SE teams, and others in the Splunk Village.
  • Build an organizational culture of continuous capability development and efficiency in addition to encouraging risk-taking and creative problem-solving
  • Guide operational organizational change with a clear sense of risk vs reward
  • Ensure that processes are aligned with the overall strategy and positioned for current and future success
  • Support our focus to become a metrics-driven organization by taking accountability for the development of day-to-day performance metrics while ensuring outcomes aligned to effective and positive employee experience
  • Use metrics to demonstrate and communicate; Partner with the supporting teams to build and share reports/metrics/dashboards that are meaningful to stakeholders and measure performance, volumes, customer happiness & quality.
  • Support effective inclusive recruiting, training, coaching, team building, and succession planning to build engaged, diverse, teams passionate about a growth mindset
