Netflix quietly launches MLB Highlights hub with nearly 200 episodes. Select users in the United States have access to highlights and top plays from the MLB. Netflix is continuing to swing for the fences with its sports programming. While the streamer has been making loud, splashy moves into live sports, it has quietly begun rolling out a brand new, daily Major League Baseball highlights hub for select users. Though you won't find any press releases about it, the new title page - simply billed as MLB Daily Highlights & Top Plays - has surfaced on the platform. The official logline for the hub reads: "Big games. Top plays. Every day. Your home for all of Major League Baseball's must-see moments and greatest hits from around the diamond." Our understanding is that the hub is currently part of a limited test being shown to a small number of US households. The streamer is using this soft launch to gauge how members engage with bite-sized, daily sports content before potentially rolling it out to a wider audience. What's inside the MLB Highlights hub? The title, available via the direct link above, currently features a whopping 181 "episodes" that update daily, ranging from 1 to around 14 minutes, and is very much akin to what you'd find on the official YouTube channel for the MLB offering highlights from recent games and feature the "New" label Netflix has been employing for the past year for live WWE events and more recently for its Podcast offerings. Based on a look at the interface, the hub breaks down the previous day's baseball action into two main formats: * Top 5 Plays of the Day: Quick, digestible 1-minute compilation reels for casual fans. * Game Highlights: Robust, 10-to-14-minute recap videos for individual matchups. For example, the slate of content added for June 1st includes a 1-minute Top 5 Plays of the Day alongside dedicated, 10+ minute highlight packages for specific games, including: * Mets vs. Mariners * Dodgers vs. D-backs * Rockies vs. Angels * Rangers vs. Cardinals * Giants vs. Brewers * White Sox vs. Twins * Royals vs. Reds * Marlins vs. Nationals * Tigers vs. Rays Latest push into MLB for Netflix. This quiet rollout is just the latest piece of a massive, rapidly expanding puzzle between Netflix and Major League Baseball. Over the past few years, the streamer has aggressively scaled its baseball-related offerings, transforming from a home for sports documentaries to an active broadcaster of the sport itself. This daily highlights test perfectly complements the streamer's ongoing baseball initiatives: * Live Games & Massive Viewership: Netflix recently secured the rights to stream three MLB games live from 2026 through 2028. We already know the appetite is there; Netflix recently touted that its MLB Opening Night broadcast scored a massive 3 million viewers. Next up will be the MLB T-Mobile Home Run Derby scheduled for July 13th, 2026, and the MLB at Field of Dreams. * Docuseries: The streamer has produced two major projects featuring the Boston Red Sox, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the historic franchise. * Global Tournaments: Netflix also secured an exclusive partnership with World Baseball Classic Inc., ensuring international baseball storylines have a home on the platform in Japan. This launch of a new highlights hub further highlights how Netflix is going after more casual viewing beyond its scripted and unscripted fare, competing directly with YouTube. This is an area we expect further expansion into, with the biggest push in this space over the past year being podcasts, with over 50 available in the US alone, with most getting weekly updates at a minimum, and a few even going live daily. Are you one of the lucky few who have access to the MLB Highlights test in the US? Let us know what you think of the interface in the comments down below!
Netflix highlights book adaptations with new dedicated hub. Tuesday, 02 June 2026 Netflix is making it easier to crack open a new book-to-screen adaptation with a new dedicated hub called "Watch Your Favorite Books." The destination for book adaptations is available globally starting today on the Netflix homepage, through search or at netflix.com/books. Nine reader types organize titles based on your preferred genres and styles, including "You're a Nonfiction Fanatic," "You Love a Great Plot Twist," "You Savor Swoonworthy Romances" and "You Collect Manga and Comics." It isn't the only fan-inspired collection you'll find on the streaming service - you can also check out the astrology hub Your Zodiac Watchlist. "We've seen a real passion from fans around Netflix's library of book adaptations," Mansi Patel, Netflix's senior director of product merchandising, said in a statement. "Our team looked to celebrate that fandom by creating a destination on Netflix for enthusiasts to explore their favorites and find more stories they'll love." In addition to Bridgerton and the Guillermo del Toro-directed Frankenstein, more book adaptations set to hit Netflix this year include the film The Whisper Man and the series East of Eden, starring Florence Pugh. Netflix drops full trailer for I Will Find You, its first Memorabletv-set Harlan Coben adaptation. News Posted by By Paul M June 1, 2026 Netflix has released the full trailer for I Will Find You, its first American-set adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel, ahead of a premiere date of 18 June. Sam Worthington stars as David Burroughs, a father wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of his young son who breaks out of jail after receiving evidence the boy may still be alive. Britt Lower plays his former sister-in-law Rachel, who helps engineer the escape, and Milo Ventimiglia also features in the eight-episode limited series. The show is created and showrun by Robert Hull, whose previous credits include Quantum Leap and Alcatraz, with Coben serving as executive producer through his Final Twist Productions banner. Coben told Netflix's Tudum that this is the 13th series he has made with the streamer, and that for this project he unusually developed the television concept and the novel simultaneously, pitching to Netflix while still writing the book. The source novel was published in 2023. The significance of the US setting is worth noting. All of Coben's previous Netflix adaptations have been set in the UK, France, Spain or Poland, relocating his American source material to European settings. I Will Find You breaks that pattern entirely. Lower arrives at the series coming off Severance season two, in which she played a lead role, while Worthington closed out 2025 by reprising his role in Avatar: Fire and Ash, which grossed $1.49 billion at the box office. The series premieres on Netflix on 18 June 2026 with all eight episodes available simultaneously.
