Responsibilities
  • Install, service, repair, and test electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products according to manufacturer specifications and National Fire Protection Association standards.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and install fire and life safety systems from multiple manufacturers.
  • Support fire and life safety compliance activities for Joint Commission, National Fire Protection Association, and healthcare facility requirements through inspections, testing, documentation, deficiency identification, and corrective-action tracking.
  • Inspect, maintain, and test on-site fire alarm equipment; replace defective components; test initiating and signal circuits, detectors, and system transmitters; perform repairs; check suppression-system pressure gauges; and test electric fire pumps monthly.
  • Complete National Fire Protection Association inspection and test reports accurately, document deficiencies in fire alarm and water-based fire protection systems, and initiate corrective maintenance recommendations.
