About the job

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a university program in the third year or above, studying Applied Statistics, Data Science, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Fluent in R for data work, including idiomatic tidyverse use to wrangle, join, reshape, and derive variables, and able to reason about the statistical operations involved.
  • Comfortable with R vectors, data frames or tibbles, factors, dates, and at least one of S3, S4, or R6; able to produce analysis-ready tables and graphics.
  • Comfortable with reproducible analysis using Git for version control and Quarto or R Markdown.
  • Able to read and reason about existing SAS programs, including their business logic, statistical methods, data transformations, and workflow structure, or willing to learn SAS on the job.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar, and an interest in using them thoughtfully in a development workflow.
  • Some experience with large language models, prompt engineering, or building automated workflows.
  • Able to work through ambiguity in a hands-on technical environment.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to internal workflows and tools that translate and modernize analytical code between SAS, R, and Python.
  • Help design, test, and refine AI-assisted and agentic workflows for code translation, validation, and quality checking.
  • Validate translated code by comparing outputs against the original, checking edge cases, cleaning logs, and documenting the basis for concluding that translations are faithful.
  • Work with senior consultants to document patterns, write up translation approaches, and contribute to team knowledge-sharing through demonstrations, internal walkthroughs, or written documentation.
  • Work on internal projects initially, with the opportunity to contribute to client-facing work as experience develops.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with interactive data analysis tools such as Shiny and plotly.
  • Exposure to clinical data contexts, such as CDISC SDTM/ADaM or pharmaverse packages.
  • Working knowledge of Python; translation work involves SAS, R, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with SAS, including coursework-level experience reading SAS, using PROC and DATA steps, or translating SAS code.
  • Interest in regulated industries such as pharma, clinical research, life sciences, or financial services.

HIVE Digital Technologies partners with ProCogia for AI expansion across Canada, US, and Europe

HIVE Digital Technologies partners with ProCogia for AI expansion across Canada, US, and Europe. The former Bitcoin miner's latest deal deepens its pivot toward sovereign AI infrastructure, building on hundreds of millions in GPU contracts an hour ago Sponsored: Vera - AI-powered prediction market intelligence, built for serious analysts Explore Vera HIVE Digital Technologies just made another move that puts more distance between itself and its crypto mining roots. The company's subsidiary, BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc., has entered a strategic partnership with Vancouver-based AI consultancy ProCogia to deliver sovereign AI infrastructure to enterprise and SMB clients across three continents. The collaboration, announced on September 16, 2026, pairs BUZZ HPC's GPU resources with ProCogia's applied-AI technologies, including its ZeroBoxx framework, large language model hosting, custom model training, and purpose-built agentic solutions. Two of those solutions, CallYeah for healthcare and PolyKode for code migration, will run on top of BUZZ HPC's compute layer. From mining rigs to GPU racks. A three-year agreement with Bell AI Fabric, valued at roughly $220 million, centers on supplying 2,304 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs to Cohere Inc. On top of that, a separate five-year deal worth approximately $350 million adds around $70 million in annual recurring revenue. The ProCogia partnership layers consulting and applied-AI capabilities on top of this growing hardware foundation. ProCogia itself went through a reinvention, rebranding as ProCogia 2.0 in May 2026 to signal its shift toward an AI-first model. AI, tech, and the markets they move - in one daily briefing. Daily. Frank Holmes, HIVE's Executive Chairman, has pointed to Canada's national strategy, which includes a $50 billion initiative aimed at expanding the country's AI data center capabilities. Scaling to 850 megawatts. HIVE's infrastructure ambitions extend well beyond current capacity. The company has laid out plans to reach 850 MW of sovereign compute capacity by 2030. The centerpiece of that expansion is a 320 MW AI gigafactory planned for the Greater Toronto Area. The facility is projected to house over 100,000 GPUs and aims to reach operational status in the second half of 2027. Disclosure: This article was edited by Editorial Team.
