Requirements
  • The candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
  • The candidate must be able to read and interpret a warehouse pick ticket.
  • The candidate must have basic math comprehension.
  • The candidate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • The candidate must be able to pull and push a load of up to 100 pounds.
  • The candidate must be able to tolerate working in inside and outside ambient or extreme temperatures.
  • The candidate must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments.
  • The candidate must be able to use a personal computer for communicating via email, inputting data, and completing other documentation using company and industry software.
  • The candidate must be able to speak, hear, and see to communicate with employees and operate machinery, equipment, computers, and vehicles.
  • The candidate must have hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills to operate computers and facility machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must maintain a current and valid driver's license.
  • The candidate must perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
  • The candidate must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Responsibilities
  • Build customer orders efficiently using company equipment while meeting distribution center performance standards throughout the shift.
  • Read and interpret distribution center pick tickets.
  • Accurately check and verify loads, ensuring customer orders are complete, accounting is correct, and inventory is verified.
  • Operate all distribution center equipment safely and courteously in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain appropriate equipment certifications in accordance with company policy.
  • Follow established product-handling procedures regarding product condition and appearance.
  • Properly handle damaged product, product returns, and dunnage.
  • Keep the work area and distribution center clean and organized.
  • Work a variety of schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, ladder and stair climbing, standing, walking, and turning or pivoting throughout the workday.
  • Perform heavy and repetitive lifting and placement of products, up to 55 pounds for off-premise and transfer driving and up to 165 pounds for on-premise driving.
  • Drive as required during the workday.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school graduate or equivalent certificate is preferred.
  • Forklift and other distribution center equipment experience or certifications are preferred.
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills are preferred.
