Requirements
  • An Advanced Practice Nurse must hold a Master's degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
  • A Physician Assistant must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
  • Advanced Practice Nurses must hold a Wisconsin Registered Nurse license and Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license.
  • Advanced Practice Nurses must hold certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization, including Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification as applicable.
  • Physician Assistants must hold a Wisconsin Physician Assistant license and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Applicable candidates must hold American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications.
  • Applicable candidates must have Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
Responsibilities
  • Provide primary or specialty medical care in a pediatric ear, nose, and throat outpatient clinical setting.
  • Operate an independent ambulatory practice in conjunction with the Pediatric Otolaryngology Division specialist and staff clinics for new and established patients.
  • Support specialists in caring for complicated patients and ensure continuity of care for program patients.
  • Provide care for complex and typical patient populations.
  • Contribute to program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
  • Complete onboarding that includes didactic learning materials, graduated skill development, and rotations with faculty and Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Provide coverage at regional ambulatory sites as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous Advanced Practice Provider ear, nose, and throat experience is preferred.
