Harmony Genie lets service desks build and customise AI agents in plain English

Harmony, an AI platform for workplace support, has launched Harmony Genie, a tool that lets service desk managers create and customise AI agents by describing what they want in plain English. It is available to Harmony customers from today. The agents work inside Slack, Microsoft Teams, and the company portal. They handle requests for IT, HR, finance, procurement, legal, and office operations teams, using a company's identity, HR, and device systems such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Kandji. Managers set what each agent can do, which tools it can use, and which policies it follows. One customer had nearly 40 separate agents for app access; with Genie, one agent can cover those variations. "Service desks get simplicity and speed without giving up control," said chief executive officer Nitzan Shapira.

Harmony brings AI agents to HR, making employee access to HR services much easier.

Harmony brings AI agents to HR, making employee access to HR services much easier. Harmony for HR gives employees one place to ask about benefits, time off, onboarding, and referrals inside Slack and Microsoft Teams, working on top of the HR systems companies already run, including Workday, HiBob, UKG Pro, and SAP SuccessFactors. NEW YORK, October 15, 2026 (Newswire.com) - Harmony, the AI platform that gives every employee an always-on expert for workplace support, today announced Harmony for HR, bringing its AI agents to HR teams and the employees they serve. Employees ask HR questions and make HR requests in plain language in Slack or Microsoft Teams, and Harmony answers or completes them instantly, using the company's existing HR systems. Harmony will showcase it at the HR Technology Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, October 20-22. Employees need HR constantly. When does benefits enrollment close? When does direct deposit land if payday falls on a holiday? How do I refer a friend for an open role? The answers usually live across several systems: a Human Resources Information System (HRIS), a recruiting platform, a learning platform, each with its own login and its own form. Employees go hunting, then give up and message someone on the people team. It adds up fast: in the companies Harmony works with, HR questions make up roughly 15 to 30 percent of all employee requests. The HR team ends up answering the same questions every week, with less time for the work that shapes the employee experience: engagement, development, and growth. "Employees should not need a map of the HR tech stack to find out how many vacation days they have left," said Nitzan Shapira, co-founder and CEO of Harmony. "Companies have invested in great HR systems. What was missing was an easy way in. Harmony gives every employee one place to ask, in the tools they already use all day, and gives HR teams back the time for the work only people can do." Harmony for HR gives employees one door to every HR service. Because Harmony already knows each employee's role, location, manager, and details such as their leave balance, answers are personal and correct, not generic. It also acts, not just answers. An employee can request time off and Harmony runs the approval, or refer a candidate from Slack without searching the careers site. Onboarding, where one HR event must set off steps across HR, IT, and facilities, runs from a single request. Harmony does not replace the HRIS or the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). It is the access and experience layer on top of them, connecting to Workday, HiBob, UKG Pro, SAP SuccessFactors, Ceridian Dayforce, BambooHR, Namely, and the Cornerstone learning platform, and supporting employee referrals into Greenhouse and other recruiting platforms. There is no migration and nothing for HR to rip out. HR data is the most sensitive in any company, so control is built in. Answers cite their source, and when no source exists, Harmony routes the request to the HR team rather than guessing. Any action on an employee record requires human approval. Sensitive matters such as grievances can be kept out of automation entirely, visibility controls limit who can see each request, and every action is logged. Harmony is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified and supports GDPR and HIPAA compliance. Many customers have already extended Harmony from IT to HR. At Cyera, the cybersecurity company, employees send the HR team roughly 1,200 requests a month, and about two-thirds are now answered instantly. At Mammoth Brands, the people team moved learning and development reimbursements from a shared inbox to a Harmony workflow, with manager and people-team approvals and budget checks built in. "Harmony took the repetitive questions off my plate. Employees get accurate answers right in Slack, and I only step in when it takes a real human. It's given me hours back every week to focus on our people instead of answering the same question twice," said Sam Amiel, People Ops, Cyera. Harmony for HR is available today. To see it in action, join the Harmony for HR launch webinar on November 5 at 12:00 PM ET, hosted by Harmony CTO Ran Ribenzaft: m.harmony.io/webinar/harmony-for-hr. Learn more at Harmony.io/HR About Harmony Harmony gives every employee an always-on expert for workplace support, embedded directly in the tools they already use. Deployed inside Slack and Microsoft Teams, Harmony's AI agents draw on a context graph connecting each employee's identity, devices, applications, and work history, resolving requests across IT, HR, finance, procurement, legal, and other enterprise service functions. With more than 100 prebuilt agents that deploy in days, not months, and a 70% no-touch resolution rate, Harmony removes the manual work from enterprise service while enabling internal teams to focus on the problems that require human judgment and expertise. Built for IT, HR, and every team that supports employees, Harmony is redefining how that support is delivered.

Harmony raises $34M seed to bring AI agents to Slack and Microsoft Teams for employee support.

Harmony raises $34M seed to bring AI agents to Slack and Microsoft Teams for employee support. Most employees don't think about IT ticketing systems, HR portals, procurement workflows, or knowledge bases until they need something. Then the real problem starts. A simple request like resetting a password, finding a company policy, ordering a laptop, or checking payroll details can send workers through multiple applications and long approval chains. AI startup Harmony believes that process should disappear into the background. Now investors are betting $34 million that it can. Harmony announced Tuesday that it has raised a $34 million seed round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Hitachi Ventures, Fin Capital, Mercer Ventures, Operator Partners, and angel investors including members of the founding team behind Wiz, including Assaf Rappaport, and Ofir Ehrlich, co-founder and CEO of Eon.io. Former Cisco founders' new AI startup Harmony raises $34M to transform employee support. The New York-based startup was founded by Nitzan Shapira and Ran Ribenzaft, the entrepreneurs behind cloud observability company Epsagon, which Cisco acquired for $500 million. Their latest company takes aim at another enterprise headache: the growing burden of internal support requests that slow employees and overwhelm IT, HR, finance, procurement, legal, and operations teams. Rather than asking employees to jump between portals, ticketing systems, and documentation, Harmony embeds AI agents directly inside workplace collaboration tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams. Employees can ask questions or request approvals from the same place they already communicate with colleagues. The company's software connects to enterprise applications and uses organizational context, including an employee's role, permissions, applications, and work history, to answer questions and complete tasks without requiring users to learn where information lives. "Most organizations have accumulated hundreds of systems, workflows, and processes over the years, but every new layer of software creates more complexity for employees and more work for the teams supporting them," said Nitzan Shapira, co-founder and CEO of Harmony. "We built Harmony around a simple idea: employees shouldn't have to navigate multiple back-office systems just to get work done. After using ChatGPT and Claude in their personal lives, employees expect the same from the tools they use at work. Whether they need an answer, an approval, or a resolution, Harmony delivers it instantly within the tools they already use. When routine work handles itself, teams can focus on the problems that truly require human expertise." AI moves deeper into enterprise operations. Harmony enters a crowded enterprise AI market where companies are racing to automate repetitive office work. Large software vendors have introduced AI assistants across productivity suites, customer service platforms, and developer tools. Harmony is taking a narrower approach by focusing on internal enterprise services, an area where employees often lose hours waiting for routine requests to be completed. The company says its platform includes more than 100 prebuilt AI agents that can be deployed within days. Those agents work across IT, HR, finance, procurement, legal, security, DevOps, and other enterprise functions without requiring organizations to replace existing software. That approach appears to be gaining traction with customers including n8n, eToro, Cyera, and KITH. Harmony says customers have seen measurable reductions in support workloads soon after deployment. According to the company, nearly half of employee support requests are handled automatically within two weeks, with automated resolution rates climbing above 75% after three months. Customer deployments have produced deflection rates of up to 68% in HR, 58% in procurement, 47% in DevOps, 42% in security, and 36% in finance. Some organizations report employee adoption exceeding 80%, a figure that stands out in a market where many enterprise AI tools struggle to become part of daily workflows. A second act after a $500 million exit. Harmony's founders are familiar with building enterprise software companies. Shapira and Ribenzaft previously co-founded Epsagon, an application observability startup that Cisco acquired for $500 million. Their latest venture reflects a broader shift taking place across enterprise software. AI is moving beyond chatbots and content generation into systems that can complete business processes across multiple applications with minimal human involvement. Investors see that shift as a major opportunity. "Harmony is driving a fundamental shift in how employee support is delivered, moving from a model built around tickets and queues to one powered by AI agents that resolve requests instantly and at scale," said Yoni Cheifetz, Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners. "We believe the company is building one of the defining enterprise software platforms of the next decade." The fresh funding will support product development, hiring, and deeper integrations with enterprise software platforms. Harmony plans to broaden its AI capabilities across infrastructure and operations, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and enterprise resource planning. The company is entering a competitive field filled with enterprise AI startups and established software vendors racing to automate workplace operations. Harmony's bet is that employees do not need another application to learn. They need workplace support to happen where they already spend their day, with AI handling routine work before a support ticket is ever created.
