Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate via email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, as well as Adobe tools.
  • A four-year college degree or eight years of nuclear experience.
  • Practical experience in work control, materials management, and facility operations.
  • Experience in outage planning in nuclear or waste solidification environments.
  • Practical knowledge of waste solidification facilities and operations.
  • Familiarity with developing, reviewing, and issuing work control packages using technical reference documents to ensure outages are task ready.
  • Experience developing outage plans and schedules, including electrical load center outages.
  • Experience managing facility outages to ensure work scope is completed and schedules are met.
  • Ability to establish and cultivate positive working relationships and interfaces with internal and external customers.
  • Experience with Asset Suite and Microsoft Word.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Eligibility for a Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as an Employment Authorization, from the designated U.S. government security office.
  • Ability to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigation, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, events, site visits, or training.
  • Ability to work a scheduled 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Outage Coordinator IM 104 support services to the U.S. Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site.
  • Support the preparation, coordination, and implementation of system and facility outages.
  • Develop the outage scope and prepare outage plans.
  • Develop the outage schedule.
  • Ensure task readiness.
  • Ensure the outage schedule is logically correct and includes applicable pre-job briefings, lockouts/tagouts, Limiting Conditions for Operation, and post-maintenance tests.
  • Meet with Work Window Coordinator, Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance personnel to review, evaluate, and resolve outage schedule impacts during the outage period.
  • Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and compliant with established criteria.
  • Perform duties competently and professionally while meeting milestones and delivery schedules.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Department of Energy, Savannah River Remediation, and Savannah River Site operating policies, rules, and regulations.
