AEVEX expands Florida and Virginia facilities to scale autonomous systems production.

AEVEX expands Florida and Virginia facilities to scale autonomous systems production. * 10 September 2026 * Edited By: Ed Freeman AEVEX Corp., a leading US defense technology company delivering autonomous unmanned systems, AI-enabled mission software, and advanced ISR and EW solutions, today announced expansions of its corporate footprint in Florida and Virginia to meet growing production demand and to enhance collaboration with US government customers and industry partners. (Credit: AEVEX) The investments expand AEVEX's manufacturing capacity and customer-facing infrastructure to support AEVEX's rapid scaling and to meet increasing demand for battle-proven autonomous systems. "Customers are increasingly looking for proven autonomous systems that can be delivered at scale and on shorter operational timelines," said Roger Wells, Chief Executive Officer of AEVEX. "We are investing to stay ahead of that demand - expanding our production capacity, putting our teams closer to the customer, and building the infrastructure needed to execute as the market continues to grow." In Florida, AEVEX is significantly expanding and consolidating its Tampa manufacturing operations to support rising production requirements and establish additional capacity for future growth. The investment is expected to more than double production capacity over the next year while providing greater operational flexibility to respond to customer demand. Tampa's position within a major US defense and national security hub enhances AEVEX's proximity to key customers, partners, and mission stakeholders. The new footprint will include a large-scale ecosystem designed for high-volume production, dedicated space for AEVEX's expanding additive manufacturing and Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV) operations, and increased capacity for manufacturing, engineering, technical, and program personnel. "Scaling production is about more than just adding space - it is about creating the operational capacity and customer proximity to move quickly as mission requirements evolve," said Murali Krishnan, Chief Growth Officer at AEVEX. "The Tampa expansion gives us greater flexibility to increase throughput, work closely with customers, and deliver mission-ready systems at the speed and volume they require." AEVEX has also secured new dedicated office space in Arlington, Virginia, establishing an expanded hub for close collaboration with US government customers, defense partners, and other national security stakeholders. The location will support teams working across unmanned systems programs, autonomy integration, engineering, program execution, and customer engagement, enabling tighter coordination as mission requirements evolve and new programs move from development to fielding. "Proximity to the customer is critical to how we operate," said Krishnan. "The Virginia office will allow our teams to collaborate more closely with customers, better understand evolving mission requirements, and move quickly to deliver the capabilities they need." The Florida and Virginia investments form part of AEVEX's broader strategy to increase manufacturing throughput and build the infrastructure required to support continued growth across its autonomous systems business. Here are the key news stories impacting AEVEX this week: * Acquisition expands maritime and autonomous-systems capabilities. AEVEX completed its acquisition of BlackSea Technologies, adding unmanned surface and subsea vessels and creating a Maritime Systems division. Management says the deal strengthens AEVEX's position in multi-domain autonomous systems, AI-enabled mission software, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and electronic warfare. AEVEX also completed the acquisition of Maritime Applied Physics from BlackSea Technologies. * The legal deadline is October 20, 2026. Several firms are seeking investors who purchased AEVEX Class A shares in or traceable to the April 2026 IPO, or during the stated class period, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff. The repeated announcements largely provide similar information and do not represent a new court ruling or determination of wrongdoing. * Class-action publicity remains an overhang. The lawsuits allege securities-law violations concerning AEVEX's IPO disclosures and events surrounding the waiver of the 180-day IPO lock-up. One legal notice says approximately $900 million in market value was erased over two June trading sessions after the lock-up waiver was disclosed. AVEX INVESTOR DEADLINE: AEVEX Corp. investors with substantial losses have opportunity to lead Securities Class Action lawsuit - October 20, 2026 deadline. Sep 08, 2026, 06:11 ET SAN DIEGO, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP announces that purchasers or acquirers of AEVEX Corp. Captioned Rosenberg v. AEVEX Corp., No. 26-cv-04779 (S.D. Cal.), the AEVEX class action lawsuit charges AEVEX, Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, AEVEX' controlling private equity owner, as well as certain of AEVEX' top executives, directors, and underwriters of the IPO with violations of the Securities Act of 1933 and/or the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. CASE ALLEGATIONS: AEVEX operates as a defense technology contractor and enabler of the U.S. Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) dominance strategy mission. AEVEX operates in two segments, Tactical Systems and Global Solutions. The complaint alleges that in its April 2026 IPO, AEVEX sold 18.4 million shares of common stock. The AEVEX class action lawsuit alleges that in the IPO's offering documents and throughout the Class Period defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that despite conveying a commitment to follow a 180-day "lock-up" and therefore prevent Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC from selling its Class A common stock or converting or exchanging its Class B or LLC Units into Class A common stock for public sale until at least October 13, 2026, defendants concealed a pre-arranged plan between Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, BofA Securities, Inc., and Jefferies LLC to prematurely abrogate that commitment and allow for a secondary public offering ("SPO") shortly after the IPO. On June 1, 2026, after the market closed, AEVEX allegedly filed a registration statement with the SEC on Form S-1 announcing AEVEX' intention to sell eight million more shares of Class A common stock to the investing public via an SPO. On this news, the price of AEVEX Class A common stock fell approximately 16%, according to the complaint. On June 5, 2026, AEVEX filed a final prospectus, dated June 3, 2026, with the SEC on Form 424B4, which, together with the registration statement, formed the offering documents for the SPO. The offering documents for the SPO allegedly disclosed the existence of the defendants' pre-arranged plan to waive Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC's "lock-up" restrictions. On this news, the price of AEVEX Class A common stock fell 7% further, according to the complaint. THE LEAD PLAINTIFF PROCESS: The Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 permits any investor who purchased or acquired AEVEX Class A common stock pursuant and/or traceable to the IPO's offering documents and/or during the Class Period to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the AEVEX class action lawsuit. A lead plaintiff is generally the movant with the greatest financial interest in the relief sought by the putative class who is also typical and adequate of the putative class.
