Graphene Ventures exits Aquabyte with majority stake sale to Vitruvian Partners

Graphene Ventures has recorded its second exit in the agritech sector following Aquabyte's sale of a majority stake to global investment firm Vitruvian Partners in December 2025. This marks the fund's second agritech exit after John Deere's acquisition of Bear Flag Robotics in 2021. Aquabyte, a portfolio company held through Graphene's Fund II and Fund III, has become a global leader in data-driven aquaculture technology. Founded in 2017, the company combines Silicon Valley innovation with deep sector knowledge to provide comprehensive solutions based on artificial intelligence, computer vision and big data analytics. The platform delivers precise information to fish farmers about fish health, behaviour, growth and parasite levels, supporting improved efficiency and sustainability in marine production. The exit represents an encouraging start to 2026 for Graphene Ventures.
