Requirements
  • Three to six or more years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining automated testing solutions.
  • Strong automation strategy experience across different testing layers.
  • Solid understanding of the Test Pyramid and modern software quality practices.
  • Experience applying Shift Left principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to review Product Requirements Documents, technical designs, infrastructure architecture, and user-interface/user-experience mockups from a quality perspective, identify risks early, and design effective test plans before development begins.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, HTTP, REST APIs, browser behaviour, client/server architecture, authentication, databases, and distributed application architecture.
  • Comfort reading application code and understanding implementation details.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with modern continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, Playwright, Docker, and SQL.
Responsibilities
  • Design smart, risk-based testing strategies focused on business risk, customer impact, and engineering value.
  • Create test plans and test cases focused on business risk, customer impact, and engineering value.
  • Apply the Test Pyramid to ensure the right tests exist at the right layer.
  • Continuously evaluate testing effectiveness and eliminate low-value testing activities.
  • Practice Shift Left throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Review Product Requirements Documents, technical designs, infrastructure architecture, and user-interface/user-experience mockups to identify quality risks and design effective test plans before implementation begins.
  • Collaborate with developers during solution design and implementation.
  • Understand system behaviour beyond the user interface, including APIs, databases, data flow, architecture, and service interactions.
  • Provide quality input during design discussions to improve product quality before code is written.
  • Build and maintain reliable user-interface automation using Playwright.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable API automation using appropriate technologies and frameworks.
  • Improve automation architecture, execution reliability, maintainability, and developer experience.
  • Contribute reusable testing utilities, frameworks, and engineering tooling.
  • Use artificial intelligence to improve productivity across test planning, automation, investigation, debugging, and documentation.
  • Experiment with artificial-intelligence-driven engineering workflows that improve software quality and engineering efficiency.
  • Validate artificial-intelligence-generated outputs for technical correctness using engineering judgement.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture conversations where quality considerations add value.
  • Work with developers, product managers, designers, and other engineers to improve overall product quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement across quality practices, engineering workflows, and team processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience writing or contributing to unit tests.
  • Experience using artificial-intelligence-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar.
  • Practical experience developing performance-testing strategies and chaos-engineering strategies.
  • Strong critical thinking around software quality, engineering trade-offs, and risk analysis.
  • Experience improving engineering tooling, development workflows, or quality processes.
  • Experience contributing to system design or technical solution discussions.
