Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer developing server-side systems
  • Experience in developing REST API’s and knowledge of scalable architectures
  • Typescript or Javascript experience
  • Knowledge of document databases (MongoDB) and API interaction tools (such as Postman, or similar)
  • Fluent written and verbal English language skills for work in international teams
  • The aspiration to constantly improve yourself and learn new technologies and concepts
  • A good understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in sprint rituals
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment - remotely for development but commuting to a London lab for physical device work
Responsibilities
  • Optimise retail in-store business flows using a broad spectrum of device hardware and standards across receipt printers, cash drawers, payment devices, scanners, cash safes, and fixed or mobile, shared or dedicated workstations running various operating systems
  • Monitor emerging technologies and standards to enable cutting edge in-store solutions
  • Implement and test in-store device interactions; recommend or develop device testing protocols
  • Work closely with Product Management to understand business needs and find appropriate technical solutions
  • Contribute to the definition of the team roadmap
  • Ensure that functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security) are met
  • Work with engineers from different teams to ensure technical excellence of the whole platform
  • Take part in on-call rotation (with the worldwide distributed team) for production systems
