Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • An active Certified Information Systems Auditor certification is required.
  • At least 6 years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, technology risk, or a related field is required.
  • At least 3–5 years of direct federal IT audit experience applying Government Accountability Office standards and frameworks, including Federal Information Security Modernization Act and Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual requirements, is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading audit teams and managing client engagements is required.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines are required.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing audit professionals is required.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, are required.
  • High ethical standards, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality are required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple information technology audit and cybersecurity risk engagements from planning through reporting, including Federal Information Security Modernization Act assessments, Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 18 System and Organization Controls 1 examinations, Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual audits, and other information technology and cybersecurity assessments.
  • Manage client relationships and present audit results to Chief Information Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, and executive leadership.
  • Review workpapers, findings, and reports to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop senior staff and associates.
  • Manage engagement budgets, schedules, deliverables, and staffing.
  • Apply project management skills to manage engagements and multiple priorities while fostering team responsibility.
  • Use current and emerging technologies, analytics, and firm tools to improve work product quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in internal firm initiatives and assist with proposals and new business development efforts.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience with a Big Four or other national public accounting or consulting firm.
  • Additional relevant professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Internal Auditor, Project Management Professional, or Certified Information Security Manager.
  • Experience leading federal information technology audits for civilian or Department of War agencies.
