- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology.
- ARRT registration and a New York State Department of Health radiology license are required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required, with American Heart Association certification accepted only.
- Perform clinical and research procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Produce and evaluate computed tomography images for technical quality.
- Properly identify images and patients and use judgment for protocols and procedures.
- Oversee medication administration, including documentation of contrast media delivery.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and Joint Commission and regulatory agency requirements.
- A computed tomography certificate is preferred.
- Knowledge and working experience in computed axial tomography are preferred.
