ECS Composites partners with JFL to advance next-generation cybersecurity capabilities. Sep 09, 2026, 10:00 ET Strategic U.S. partnership delivers lightweight carbon fiber transit-case for DoW and Intelligence Community customers GRANTS PASS, Ore., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - ECS Composites ("ECS" or "The Company"), a Becklin Holdings company and industry leader in the design and manufacturing of high-performance, custom transit cases, today announced a manufacturing partnership with JFL, a cybersecurity firm serving Department of War ("DoW") and Intelligence Community clients. As cybersecurity operations become increasingly critical to national security, organizations require equipment that performs reliably across the full spectrum of operational environments. The relationship began at AFCEA, where leaders from JFL and ECS identified an opportunity to develop a lighter-weight carbon fiber case solution. Then, drawing on more than 70 years of advanced composites experience, ECS worked closely with JFL to create a custom transit case that balanced durability, mobility, and performance. JFL's deep understanding of operational requirements and commitment to supporting the DoW and Intelligence Community aligned closely with ECS' philosophy of engineering solutions for real-world environments. By collaborating early in the project, communicating openly, and maintaining a focus on the needs of the end user, the teams developed an ATA-compliant, lightweight, rugged transport solution designed to support leading-edge technology missions. "Organizations operating at the forefront of cybersecurity need equipment they can depend on," said Sterling Becklin, Founder and Chairman of Becklin Holdings and President of ECS Composites. "JFL came to us with a unique challenge, and our team was proud to apply its engineering expertise to deliver a solution that met their objectives. That success reflects the type of work our team is built for - helping organizations protect critical systems and strengthen national security through technical innovation." "What sets ECS apart is the combination of technical mastery and straightforward communication," said Dave Dolan, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and co-owner of JFL. "Their team takes the time to understand the requirement, provides honest feedback about what will and won't work, and consistently delivers on its commitments. That collaborative approach has made ECS a valuable partner as we develop specialized solutions for our defense industry partners." The project demonstrates how advanced composites manufacturing can support organizations working at the intersection of technology and national security. As demand grows for next-generation cybersecurity capabilities and other emerging defense technologies, ECS remains focused on helping customers bring innovative ideas to market through collaborative engineering and disciplined production.
