  • Experience in shipping AAA titles across multiple platforms
  • Experience with large-scale, live, online multiplayer games
  • Advanced C++ skills and experience with scripting languages, low-level debugging, and optimization
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or other relevant technical field
  • 7+ years of game industry experience in an engineering role
  • 3+ years in technical leadership roles
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5
Responsibilities
  • Direct the technical approach and execution for a main internal project in the Fortnite ecosystem
  • Drive several engineering teams to be capable of meeting any technical challenge
  • Curate the staffing levels across various engineering specializations
  • Provide critical technical insight and feedback
  • Support project planning from the engineering perspective
  • Align project technical decisions to lead the project engineering team from the idea to a successful live online multiplayer game
  • Align disparate audiences and clarify complex technical issues for non-engineering stakeholders
  • Articulate challenges, risks, and trade-offs in a constructive way
  • Ensure feature request requirements are clear, consistent, and achievable
  • Manage and mentor engineering leads and individual contributors
  • Establish and refine the development roadmap
  • Communicate cross-discipline with Design, Art, UI, and Production
  • Challenge and align technical decisions across disciplines
  • Take critical technical decisions that will sustain the live aspect of the game
