Session Replay is Amplitude’s first foray into the bigger space of experience analytics - combining quantitative and qualitative insights to gain deeper understanding of customer behavior. Session Replay allows customers to watch playback videos of their users on their products or website. The Session Replay team at Amplitude helps customers more easily understand the “why” behind the metrics they’re analyzing and gain more confidence to take faster action, by enabling them to effortlessly move from the macro quantitative picture to the micro user session experience. Connecting session replays to Amplitude’s quantitative charts allows customers to quickly and intuitively hypothesize and understand the cause of a change in customer behavior.
We’re looking for a Product Engineer II to join our team, someone who isn’t afraid to take on the challenges of building and evolving a highly-sophisticated, data-intensive enterprise product. You will be building innovative interfaces and cross-cutting architectural improvements for our Session Replay product, enabling quant-to-qual evaluation to drive further insights across our product.
As a Product Engineer II, Session Replay, you will:
- Take product ideas from ideation to implementation
- Develop new features for data connection management and customer insights discovery using TypeScript, React/Redux, HTML, and CSS.
- Integrate with backend services and improve our API infrastructure built with Python, Java, Node, GraphQL and Postgres.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to iterate on our product.
You’ll be a great addition to the team if you have:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or another technical field.
- 2+ years of experience working in a full-stack Software Engineering role.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to dive into new code bases, languages and frameworks.
- Fluency with one or more JavaScript application frameworks (React/Redux, Angular, Backbone, etc.)
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Python, Java, Javascript.
- Enjoy working with customers and partners in solving problems and providing value.
- Previous experience in enterprise analytics or data products.
