About the job

Requirements
  • At least 8 years of agency experience, with significant experience in new business, growth, strategy, account leadership, or a closely related discipline within healthcare marketing.
  • A strong track record of leading complex, high-stakes pitches and requests for proposals, ideally for large Creative Agency of Record, integrated, or multi-agency opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of how agency work is made, from insight and brand strategy through creative, media, experience, data, and execution.
  • Strategic storytelling skills, including finding the throughline, building the argument, sequencing the story, and making complicated thinking simple.
  • Ability to quickly understand a client's business, category, competitive dynamics, and organizational needs.
  • Judgment about priorities, where teams should focus, where work needs to go deeper, and what distracts from the story.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create, edit, and elevate executive-level presentations.
  • Presence and confidence to challenge, advise, and align senior agency leaders while building trusting relationships.
  • Creative instincts and high standards for strategy, content, and the overall pitch experience.
  • Experience motivating cross-functional teams through intense, fast-moving processes.
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape, how other agencies sell, changing client expectations, and opportunities to differentiate.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Head of Growth and agency leadership to determine the strategy for winning the highest-priority opportunities.
  • Synthesize briefs, client intelligence, competitive context, and agency strengths to identify the core opportunity, barriers to winning, and areas needing greater focus.
  • Lead senior pitch teams through early decisions about beliefs, solutions, differentiation, proof, and presentation approach.
  • Establish strategic direction while enabling strategy, creative, and other disciplines to develop their strongest thinking.
  • Maintain oversight of the pursuit to ensure the work supports the intended story and experience.
  • Serve as a senior sounding board and problem solver, addressing gaps, disagreements, and weaknesses before pitch day.
  • Architect pitch narratives that turn complex strategies, capabilities, and ideas into clear, persuasive stories.
  • Identify the ideas clients should remember and ensure every presentation section reinforces them.
  • Push teams beyond answering the request for proposal to uncover the larger business opportunity behind the ask.
  • Shape presentation structures, headlines, transitions, executive framing, and key moments to make the experience intentional.
  • Challenge generic claims and familiar agency language, making agency strengths more specific, credible, and differentiated.
  • Help presenters sharpen their content, delivery, chemistry, and confidence.
  • Improve the pitch process from early client interactions through final presentations and follow-up.
  • Identify opportunities for memorable pitch experiences that amplify the strategic idea.
  • Use data, technology, artificial intelligence, creativity, and Publicis capabilities to strengthen thinking and demonstrate it.
  • Bring inspiration from effective selling inside and outside the category into the process.
  • Maintain high standards for everything clients see, hear, and experience.
  • Build relationships across Heartbeat, Saatchi & Saatchi Health, Razorfish Health, Publicis Health, and the broader Groupe.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, bringing an informed point of view and respectfully challenging others when needed.
  • Navigate differing leadership styles, agency cultures, and perspectives while helping teams reach decisions.
  • Determine when to lead, facilitate, or let the appropriate subject-matter expert take the floor.
  • Represent the Growth team in senior agency and network conversations.
  • Partner with the Head of Growth to assess pitch performance and identify patterns across wins, losses, and client feedback.
  • Identify recurring weaknesses in stories, capabilities, case studies, proof points, or ways of working and develop practical solutions.
  • Build reusable frameworks, tools, and best practices that improve team effectiveness without making new business formulaic.
  • Ensure strong thinking, work, and proof are easy to find and ready to use.
  • Partner with Growth team members to strengthen their work, provide strategic guidance, and improve consistency across pursuits.
  • Help develop the Growth team, raise its strategic and creative standards, and give team members more ownership and opportunities to grow.
