Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required.
Five or more years of experience in surveying or land mapping is required.
A valid driver's license is required.
Developing leadership and management skills are required.
Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques is required.

Responsibilities

Provide work control lines and elevations required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff, including forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hangers, and supports.
Ensure crews perform layout work competently and accurately.
Check as-built conditions requiring surveying techniques.
Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities.
Assist with quantity calculations as required.
Monitor and maintain the condition and calibration of surveying equipment.
Coordinate survey activities with the assigned engineer and superintendents to meet construction requirements.
Manage survey department resources and the department-assigned budget.

Desired Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in engineering, geometrics, or a related field is preferred.
A Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) credential is preferred.

What we are looking for

High School Diploma / GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geometrics or related field preferred.
5+ years’ experience in survey or land mapping required.
