About the job
- The candidate must have 5 or more years of related full-stack development experience.
- The candidate must have working experience in front-end and back-end application development.
- The candidate must have strong expertise with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue and Angular.
- The candidate must have strong expertise with web services and RESTful applications.
- The candidate must have expertise with Node.js, WebSockets, and microservices methodologies.
- The candidate must be familiar with HTML5 and CSS3.
- The candidate must be familiar with system-level issues including scaling, security, and responsiveness.
- The candidate must have solid programming experience in object-oriented design and development.
- The candidate must have experience working in Linux or a POSIX operating-system environment.
- The candidate must be familiar with software configuration management, defect-tracking tools, and peer review.
- The candidate must have strong documentation and writing skills.
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software, Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Design and implement web application features using modern web frameworks and techniques from requirements through production and deployment.
- Add new functionality and solve customer-facing bugs within an existing web application.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new and existing user interfaces.
- Prepare prototypes and screenshots for stakeholder review and approval.
- Advise on best practices, new techniques, software quality, and process improvement.
- Create, modify, and maintain RESTful web services.
- Develop applications using Go, GraphQL, Vue, and similar modern technologies.
- Assist with estimating the time and effort required to implement new features.
- Participate in design reviews and peer code reviews and improve overall product quality.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to implement feature dependencies successfully.
- Act as a member of an Agile Scrum team.
- Knowledge of satellite communication protocols.
- Experience with C++, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Understanding of SQL and relational database access, including PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MySQL.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Redis and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with responsive design frameworks such as Bootstrap.
- Familiarity with developing web interfaces for embedded devices.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and IPv6.
- Familiarity with Docker, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Go, Conan, CMake, and C++11.
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, SharePoint, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
