About the job
- Ability to work with different types of X-ray equipment and computed tomography equipment.
- Knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems and digital systems.
- Ability to work in emergency room, inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
- Ability to multitask, make sound decisions, handle stressful situations, and work within rigid time constraints.
- Ability to maintain an ethical and professional working relationship with coworkers and medical staff and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively, provide customer service, and maintain patient records and information confidential.
- Ability to work alone.
- AART degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training with registries in Radiologic Medical Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- AART(CT) certification and Basic Life Support certification are required.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
- Follow hospital policies and guidelines and perform duties assigned by the supervisor.
