Requirements
  • A minimum of three to five years of direct patient care experience is required.
  • Nurse Practitioners must complete an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Nurse Practitioners must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Nurse Practitioners must hold current National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Nurse Practitioners must hold an active Vermont Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license with eligibility for prescriptive authority.
  • Physician Assistants must complete an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Physician Assistants must hold current National Certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Physician Assistants must hold an active Vermont Physician Assistant license with eligibility for prescriptive authority.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient care, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and ensure appropriate use of ancillary services.
  • Provide care for patients across a range of health conditions in collaboration with one or more physicians.
  • Address acute medical needs promptly and effectively.
  • Manage timely responses to patient messages and medication refill requests.
Desired Qualifications
  • One to two years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in primary care is highly desirable.
  • A Master of Science in Nursing is preferred for Nurse Practitioners.
