Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with practical experience in their application.
  • Proficiency in Git and experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and utilizing Atlassian plugins like ScriptRunner, Structure, Advanced Roadmaps, and Zephyr Squad/Scale.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy (ScriptRunner), Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python are highly desirable.
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows servers, as well as databases like MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Proven expertise with REST APIs and integration development.
  • Hands-on experience with the installation, upgrades, integration, and support of Atlassian server and datacenter products.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud (SaaS) solutions is a significant advantage.
  • Capability to design and optimize schema configurations and templates to improve business processes.
  • Experience with scripting-based automation solutions and custom plugin development using Atlassian SDK/Forge with Java and Groovy is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and risk management in IT environments.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering protocols such as DNS and DHCP, with additional experience in Active Directory and SSO tools (e.g., Okta, ADFS) as a plus.
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-120) & Other certifications are highly desired.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of custom-built addons and plugins.
  • Administer, enhance, and optimize Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) and SQL databases for high performance.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts using Adaptavist ScriptRunner and Groovy.
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
  • Provide technical support and solutions to development teams, enhancing productivity and automation.
  • Collaborate with the Atlassian Change Committee on system changes and assist in user training.
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum or Kanban ceremonies and create Standard Operating Procedures for Incident Management, Disaster Recovery, and Escalations.
  • Develop IT Asset Management using “Assets” (formerly known as Insights).
  • Install, update, and maintain Atlassian services in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Document developed scripts, workflows, and processes comprehensively.
  • Resolve issues with Jira Projects and Confluence in coordination with project leads and provide training for employees on usage and new functionalities.
  • Build workflows and automation for self-serve Atlassian product usage, integrating state-of-the-art technical solutions, and managing permissions for Jira Projects/Boards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
