Responsibilities
  • Support PACAF Aviation Squadron Administrative Support for the United States Air Force.
  • Coordinate with the training officer, squadron aviation resource management, UDM, and Operations Officer to arrange schedules for operations, qualification, upgrade, test, exercises, and continuation training.
  • Coordinate aircraft configurations with the Weapons Officer or Operations Officer two weeks prior and synchronize operations, maintenance, and ammunition schedules.
  • Build long- and short-range flight schedules covering aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions.
  • Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Track crewmember leave, temporary duty, medical appointments, and other scheduling commitments.
  • De-conflict crewmember schedules and work with flight leadership to ensure crews are available for assigned sortie taskings.
  • Track daily flight, ground, and academic training requirements and accomplishments to support accurate flight scheduling.
  • Facilitate last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by coordinating with the current mission commander or operations supervisor and the responsible flight.
  • Obtain aircraft and equipment availability data from maintenance and schedule crewmembers for training, exercises, simulators, and operations.
  • Publish and post long- and short-range ground, academic, flying, and simulator training schedules on PEX, GTIMS, GDSS II, or other computer database systems.
  • Determine flight, ground, and simulator schedule requirements for upgrade, initial qualification, requalification, transition, currency, and continuation training based on syllabus requirements, student progression, weather, and daily equipment or training-range availability.
  • Update scheduling data daily to account for changing conditions and training completion rates.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Support Squadron Plans department, outside agencies, exercise participants, and higher headquarters for reporting and exercise or special-event schedule coordination.
  • Correlate sortie length and airspace requirements with syllabus requirements.
  • Create, submit, and file AF Form 1801s, diplomatic clearances, altitude reservations, and other host-nation or local-procedure forms required for flying operations.
  • Assist the Operations Officer in building the unit Annual Flying Hour Program.
  • Ensure all Flight Information Publications are current and accessible to aircrew.
  • Update data in PEX, GTIMS, future equivalent systems, and locally developed computer database systems.
  • Coordinate with the training officer to review and update student and permanent-party records, folders, and grade books according to applicable Air Force Instructions and associated supplements and guidance.
  • Notify crewmembers, scheduling personnel, and unit leadership of upcoming and overdue testing, evaluation, and training requirements by email, telephone, or in person.
  • Perform testing administrator duties for the unit.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of aircrews entering the first month of their evaluation eligibility period.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Possesses a Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience working with PEX, GTIMS, or a similar proprietary scheduling program.
  • Experience working in a Flying Squadron, Group, Wing Stan/Eval office.
