About the Job

Requirements

  • ITIL certification at ITIL v4 Foundation level or higher is required.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience working with an enterprise ITSM platform, including significant ServiceNow depth in ITSM and ITAM/CMDB modules.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an ITSM platform implementation or major rebuild from requirements through design, build, and go-live.
  • Strong hands-on administration and development skills in workflow and flow design, catalog and form configuration, scripting, access control lists and security, integrations using REST/SOAP and IntegrationHub or equivalent, and upgrade and release management.
  • Experience designing service catalogs and working with ITAM/CMDB, including building a complete catalog and maintaining accurate asset and configuration data.
  • Experience directing third-party delivery partners and holding them accountable to architecture and quality standards.
  • Platform-agnostic ITSM fundamentals sufficient to evaluate and operate alternative platforms.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder skills for working with IT leadership, delivery partners, and operating-company stakeholders.
  • Structured problem-solving skills, including decomposing requirements, designing governed processes, and developing clear, maintainable patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and build of the ITSM/ITAM environment, translating business requirements into platform configuration and development alongside the architecture team and any third-party implementation partner.
  • Set standards for data models, workflows, integrations, and configuration-versus-customization decisions; provide technical authority and challenge customizations that would not scale.
  • Administer and operate the platform as an ongoing service, including day-to-day administration, release management, upgrades, performance, security and access control, and integration health.
  • Keep the platform current, stable, and aligned with ITIL-based service-management practices, and establish operational practices that support growing adoption across operating companies.
  • Implement and maintain the service catalog and request, incident, change, and problem workflows.
  • Establish and steward the CMDB and asset lifecycle data so hardware, software, and license information is accurate and actionable.
  • Design and build platform integrations with identity, endpoint, discovery, HR, finance, and operating-company systems.
  • Replace manual effort and tribal knowledge with workflows, discovery, and scalable automation patterns.
  • Direct third-party consultants and delivery partners, holding them accountable to architectural patterns, ITIL-aligned process design, and quality.
  • Establish governance and change-control frameworks that keep the platform trustworthy without creating a bottleneck.
  • Work with Enterprise IT, process owners, security, and operating-company stakeholders; advise on platform direction, including evaluation of ServiceNow and alternatives, and develop clear, supportable patterns.

Desired Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification and one or more Certified Implementation Specialist credentials, such as ITSM, Discovery, or HAM/SAM.
  • A bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure-services industries.
  • Experience supporting operating companies in a federated structure where business units retain autonomy alongside a corporate function.
  • Experience evaluating or migrating between ITSM platforms.
