Requirements
  • 3-5 years of prior experience.
  • An active Property and Casualty license is required.
  • Task leadership and the ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks and general account management are required.
  • Developing proficiency in managing a book of business through its annual life cycle, including new business, customer service, renewal strategy, and delegation to team members, is required.
  • The ability to handle smaller, less complex accounts is required.
  • The ability to manage a book of business under the guidance of the Client Team and Sales Collaboration is required.
  • Proficient project management is required.
  • Intermediate application of prioritization and organizational skills is required.
  • Intermediate application of tools and resources is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, and advanced proficiency in Excel are required.
  • Continued development of products, line knowledge, and marketing techniques is required.
  • Knowledge of current trends and regulations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Independently drive a book of business or proactively participate with the client team on strategy, client deliverables, and meeting client expectations, including proposals, stewardship, meetings, and special projects.
  • Maintain client relationships independently or in conjunction with the client team.
  • Inform the account team of significant changes relating to the client.
  • Prepare or review materials for discussion with the client team or Producer.
  • Organize responses to rate and coverage negotiations and present them to the client team or Producer for review.
  • Assist other Client Managers during high-volume periods as needed.
  • Execute deliverables communicated by the client team.
  • Prepare client presentations, including developing meeting agendas and preparing presentation documents.
  • Attend and actively participate in client meetings when requested by the Producer.
  • Provide new business and renewal support by compiling broker of record letters, participating in internal renewal strategy meetings, transmitting renewal requests to clients via email or Indio, gathering renewal information, performing exposure analysis, sending submissions to the market or rates online, performing non-admitted carrier due diligence in accordance with state rules, comparing premiums, rates, and coverage, generating or updating fee agreements, finalizing proposals upon receipt from the vendor and presenting them to the client, sending bind orders to carriers, receiving carrier binders and transmitting MMA binders to clients, and performing renewal premium allocation.
  • Provide general service support by ordering endorsements and coverage changes from carriers, performing audit reviews and addressing discrepancies, and providing basic contract review.
Desired Qualifications
  • An advanced degree in RMIN, Finance, or Accounting is a plus.
  • An advanced designation such as AAI, CISR, CIC, CRM, ARM, or CPCU is in progress.
  • Broadening carrier relationships through marketing and underwriting is desirable.
  • Intermediate understanding of available tools, including Reference Connect, Playbook, and MMA U, is desirable.
