Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved pharmacy technician training program.
  • State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
  • A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of pharmaceutical tasks under the general supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Procure, prepare, and dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Promote appropriate, safe, and effective medication use.
  • Restock drug storage areas and refill automated drug dispensing devices in all hospital areas.
  • Package medications into single-unit doses and prepare patient-specific doses as needed.
  • Triage incoming phone calls and clinical inquiries requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment within the Pharmacy Department.
