Its schools focus on college preparation, career readiness, and healthy living by nurturing students' minds, bodies, and spirits, while offering programs like the Edible Schoolyard that integrate gardening and cooking into the curriculum. The organization runs its programs through public funding, donations, and educational grants, and provides additional supports such as free homework help and community involvement opportunities. What sets FirstLine Schools apart is its holistic, campus-network approach that scales successful programs across several schools, accompanied by a commitment to transparency and public accountability. FirstLine Schools has developed a website dedicated to all things AI at FirstLine - ai.firstlineschools.org. Here, you can find its student and staff policies, which FirstLine Schools rolled out to its community this fall, as well as Tools and Tricks that help make work more sustainable and effective for its teachers and leaders. FirstLine's AI Task Force is now entering year two of supporting implementation of AI policies and initiatives. FirstLine has also adopted the enterprise version of Google's Gemini and Anthropic's Claude to provide its team access to AI tools while ensuring that students' personally identifiable information (PII) remains secure. Additionally, FirstLine Schools is excited to have launched Coursemojo in all 5th-8th grade ELA classrooms, with the support of New Orleans AI Education Fund. With Coursemojo, students are able to get real-time feedback while answering questions aligned to their ELA curriculum, Arts and Letters.
