Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience developing embedded computing products, such as single-board computers, personality modules, video processors, and power supplies, with familiarity with modern embedded processors such as ARM, PowerPC, and field-programmable gate arrays.
  • At least 7 years of experience in product development or product management roles, including at least 5 years in the space and defense industry.
  • Prior experience developing space and defense computing products, including flight computers, mission and payload processing systems, and storage devices.
  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in engineering, systems engineering, or science is required.
  • Deep understanding of the space and defense market, including industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in product management and hardware and software development methodologies.
  • Experience with market analysis and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the product strategy for the computing portfolio, including processing, control, and data storage products.
  • Develop comprehensive product roadmaps, prioritizing features and functionalities based on customer needs and market trends, and drive consistent product innovation.
  • Oversee product development and improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Support proposal and business development teams by providing innovative and cost-effective technical solutions to win new business.
  • Engage with program teams to translate execution challenges into actionable product insights that inform roadmap decisions and drive portfolio relevance.
  • Provide computing product design solutions based on aerospace and defense industry experience and customer needs.
  • Oversee development of computing requirements, computing architecture, and design solutions while considering cost, schedule, technical objectives, industry standards, and customer and market needs.
  • Implement Design for Excellence methodologies, including Design for Manufacturing, Design for Test, and Design for Cost, to achieve cost-effective computing product solutions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and prioritize product initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze market and industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Develop and maintain commercial pricing for computing products.
  • Collaborate with business development to estimate product market demand.
  • Gather customer feedback through surveys, focus groups, and support channels, incorporating critical insights into product iterations to enhance user experience and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for product innovation based on technology advancements and industry trends.
  • Assess and implement configuration changes across computing products, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and competitive advancements.
