Requirements
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of professional management experience in People Services.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources.
  • Experience and working knowledge of the hotel business.
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office products, including experience with applicant tracking systems and human resources information systems.
  • Proficiency in all human resources functions and applicable state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general People Services support and manage the day-to-day operations of the department, with a focus on recruitment and employee relations.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Lead the recruitment process, including posting positions on job boards, using an applicant tracking system, arranging and participating in career fairs, and conducting background and reference checks.
  • Handle new-hire onboarding and administer team member files in the human resources information system.
  • Maintain human resources information system data for new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions.
  • Monitor and maintain leave-of-absence programs, including leave entitlement and Family and Medical Leave Act administration.
  • Answer questions regarding the 401(k) plan, vacation, and other ancillary benefits.
  • Assist with team member room-rate program and premises-pass requests.
  • Administer benefits, including monthly billing reconciliation, enrollment, and termination of coverage.
  • Assist with performance management and ensure evaluations are completed on time.
  • Partner with the area director to organize and execute team member functions, including new-hire orientation, training, meetings, recognition events, engagement surveys, and open enrollment.
  • Provide guidance to the leadership team on coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Address employee problems or concerns through an open-door policy and handle confidential team member investigations.
  • Audit employee files and records to ensure required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Prepare for annual internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with People Services legal requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of People Services files and records.
  • Respond to unemployment claims.
  • Participate on the Safety Committee.
  • Attend hotel-required meetings and training.
  • Maintain required personal appearance and grooming standards.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Knowledge of iCIMS and UKG.

CoralTree Hospitality appoints new CTO. CoralTree Hospitality has appointed Jeff Knowlton as chief technology officer to lead the company's enterprise technology strategy, digital innovation and systems optimization across its portfolio. Knowlton brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and technology leadership, digital transformation, guest-facing platform enhancement and operational system modernization to his new role. He will oversee CoralTree's technology roadmap, focusing on improving guest experience, operational efficiency and scalable infrastructure to support the company's expansion. "Jeff's deep expertise at the intersection of hospitality and technology makes him an exceptional addition to our leadership team," said Tom Luersen, president of CoralTree Hospitality. "As we continue to grow, his vision and leadership will be instrumental in delivering innovative, seamless, and data-driven guest experiences across our portfolio." Before joining CoralTree Hospitality, Knowlton most recently served as chief information officer at Peregrine Hospitality. Prior to that, he served in the same role at Sonesta Hotels International.
