Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technical accounting, preferably with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 experience strongly preferred) and industry experience.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, leases, and stock-based compensation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite) and financial reporting tools.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical accounting function by researching, interpreting, and implementing new accounting standards and regulations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements and disclosures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key advisor to the finance team and other departments on technical accounting matters.
  • Provide training and support to ensure understanding and proper application of accounting standards.
  • Strengthen and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure robust control environments.
  • Effectively communicate technical accounting matters to senior management, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos and documentation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in accounting standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
