Responsibilities
  • Support field assignments and assistant project management assignments under a Project Manager or Superintendent.
  • Expedite, review, and coordinate shop drawings and submittals for projects under construction.
  • Incorporate revisions to contract documents and post construction change bulletins on blueprints and in specifications.
  • Assist in organizing and estimating change order work, including obtaining subcontractor pricing, estimating quantities, comparing changed work to the original takeoff, and preparing cost proposals.
  • Evaluate field problems and drawing discrepancies, document causes, produce clarification sketches, submit Requests for Information to designers, and follow through on resolution.
  • Update, print, and distribute project schedules using Primavera P6 or a similar scheduling program, coordinating data input with superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Produce miscellaneous field sketches and drawings, including formwork, embed locations, miscellaneous metal items, and site layouts, using paper and pencil or a computer-aided design program.
  • Prepare project closeout documents, update as-built information on contract drawings, organize record documents and warranties, and expedite warranty and operations and maintenance manual submissions.
  • Prepare agendas for and participate in weekly jobsite coordination meetings, produce meeting minutes, and follow up on subcontractor commitments.
  • Monitor subcontractor work, schedules, manpower, quality, and compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Procure project materials by preparing delivery logs and schedules, visiting suppliers, tracking shipments, checking materials, and ensuring proper labeling and storage.
  • Prepare summaries of labor and material costs for backcharge or extra work tickets, provide explanations, and obtain agreements and signatures from subcontractors and owners.
