Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • 2-4 years of building construction experience
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles and techniques, accounting principles
  • Familiar with various construction methods, systems and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Project
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software; CAD, and Adobe InDesign a plus
  • Thorough follow through on all task responsibilities
  • Meticulous record keeping and representation of reliable data
  • A “Can Do” and positive attitude and have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Support others and apply skills to make team contributions
Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager on MGAC’s construction projects
  • Coordinating, supervising, and managing internal/external communications
  • Maintaining owner, architect, subcontractor, and vendor relations
  • Assisting in the creation of project schedules
  • Monitoring and communicating progress to the Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager
  • Alerting the Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager to conditions that could lead to significant delays
  • Providing documentation and written record of progress, issues, solutions, inspections, change orders, etc.
  • Advocating on the part of the Owner and working with the Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager during disputes
  • Attending meetings as the Owner’s Representative with the project team
  • Tracking and submitting invoices, purchase orders, and other financial commitments
  • Keeping Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager informed on progress and stages of the projects
