  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Engineering, or another relevant subject area and 3 years of full-time related experience; or an associate's degree and 5 years of full-time related experience; or a high school diploma/GED and 7 years of full-time related experience.
  • At least 3 years of work experience developing and monitoring budgets, programs, and goals.
  • Experience with Con Edison general accounting systems, Oracle, and business intelligence systems.
  • Experience with CC&B, Gas Central Suite applications, Employee HUB, eGIS, CRMS, CPMS, NYC Streets, and related system programs.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Ability to manage conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to lead and manage others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay organized, pay attention to detail, and handle multiple assignments.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand while using a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday.
  • Availability for a System Emergency Assignment, including non-business hours during emergencies such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all activities performed by Support Operations personnel supporting Gas Construction and Gas Distribution Services.
  • Oversee administrative work involving job records, personnel matters, training schedules, inventory control, purchasing, and accounts payable.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
  • Interface and interact with internal and external customers and make decisions to resolve issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Schedule, monitor, and oversee departmental activities to ensure compliance with company specifications and city, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with capital, maintenance, and inspection work.
  • Schedule appointments and respond to customer inquiries and claims to provide a positive customer experience.
  • Develop and continuously monitor the department's operating budget and correlate financial and operational information to improve department performance.
  • Assist the GM/Support Manager and field forces, perform special projects, and attend committee meetings concerning the design and implementation of new automated systems.
  • Act as the localized expert for implementing and instructing area personnel in the use of automated systems.
  • Oversee the NOV process and ensure that administrative staff respond in a timely manner to reduce company costs.
  • Ensure that Gas Central, GRMS, CC&B, CPMS, Adept, Oracle, CRMS, NOV, and other systems are used for productivity performance and reporting.
  • Coordinate with other departments to obtain information needed for efficient department and Gas organization operations.
  • Identify and recommend work-practice changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Develop strategies to improve business processes and partner with operating areas to implement change.
  • Manage, supervise, and provide direction to assigned staff while ensuring effective performance and accountability.
  • Perform other related assignments as necessary.

  • Solid background knowledge of the company's Gas, Steam, and Electric Distribution Systems, with experience in Engineering, Contract Administration, Major Construction Programs, and mitigating their impact on affected areas.
