About the job
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in finite element simulation for mechanical validation; another Master's degree, such as Electrical Engineering, may be evaluated.
- Project management experience and skills.
- At least five years of successful industrial experience.
- Very good knowledge of three-dimensional computer-aided design modeling software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or Creo.
- Fluent English with the ability to create high-quality written reports for clients.
- Design and construct electrical systems, products, and project-based solutions.
- Perform finite element analyses, including tension and stress, fatigue, hardware, welding, aging, frequency, and vibration analyses, to aid and optimize the design and validation of new products.
- Model welded, bolted, and riveted joints, fatigue, proof stresses, and safety factors according to railway norms and best practices.
- Provide technology innovations and high product reliability.
- Keep the design database updated to trace and produce the correct apparatuses.
- Maintain a high level of technology in mechanical and electrical products.
- Validate all mechanical and electrical designs for the dedicated group.
- Knowledge of electrical alternating current/direct current medium and high voltage.
- Development or technical design experience with mechanical or electromechanical devices.
- Knowledge of the railway rolling stock industry and international standards.
- Experience with MSC Nastran, Apex, or Patran.
- Experience analyzing welded joints and fatigue.
- French language skills.
