About the job

Requirements
  • Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.
  • One to three years of professional experience building and shipping machine learning or natural language processing systems, including large language model-based or generative artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Production experience with Python and TypeScript, including modern web frameworks such as FastAPI and React.
  • Hands-on experience integrating large language models into real applications, including streaming, tool or function calling, token accounting, and failure handling, across at least one of OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Vertex, or Azure OpenAI.
  • Experience designing agentic systems, including multi-step workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop guardrails.
  • Experience with relational data modeling on PostgreSQL using an asynchronous object-relational mapper and migration tooling.
  • Fluency with Amazon Web Services, including compute, storage, identity and access management, secrets, networking, and observability, plus infrastructure as code; Terraform is preferred.
  • Practical understanding of OAuth, OpenID Connect, JSON Web Tokens, role-based access control, multi-tenant isolation, and least-privilege design.
  • Disciplined testing, linting, and type-checking practices, with reviewable diffs and clear written communication.
Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver production artificial intelligence systems across commercial platform work and federal modernization programs.
  • Own work end-to-end across data, model integration, services, user interface, infrastructure, security, and deployment.
  • Make sound technical decisions under federal compliance, security, and procurement constraints.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Federal program exposure involving NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, authorization to operate processes, or agency-specific data-handling requirements.
  • Experience with Keycloak or another OpenID Connect provider, row-level-security-based multi-tenancy, or zero-trust application design.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks or Snowflake and SQL beyond create, read, update, and delete operations.
  • Experience with document artificial intelligence, optical character recognition pipelines, and modernization of legacy enterprise workflows.
  • Production observability experience with CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, or Grafana, and incident-response experience.
  • Supply-chain hardening experience involving software bills of materials, dependency scanning, signed builds, or threat modeling.
