Requirements
  • Degree in a technical field preferred such as engineering, math, or a hard science
  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably space manufacturing, systems engineering, or design of electromechanical hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment
  • Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples
  • Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.) Work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, Manufacturing Execution systems, and ERP/MRP systems
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
  • Own Integration and testing of Anduril’s space products
  • Drive system level design and testing procedure
  • Provide Design for manufacturability and assembly feedback
  • Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly
  • Own Integration of Anduril payloads onto satellite and launch vehicles
  • Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing their hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.
  • Evaluate and disposition nonconformances of flight hardware
  • Iterate on assembly processes to incorporate lessons learned
  • Work with contract manufacturers and bus providers to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development as well as at-scale production
  • Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware
  • Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection, etc.
  • Travel to partner sites to do final integration, Qualification, and acceptance testing
Desired Qualifications
  • Test hardware and software development experience
  • Experience with integration and testing of avionics, payloads, solar, propulsion, ADCS, or other space hardware
  • Software scripting experience in any language
  • Experience writing test plans, procedures, and work instruction documentation
  • Ability to work in space manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated skill at driving and questioning design and customer requirements
  • Currently possess an active U.S. Secret/Top Secret security clearance.
