Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, a global sustainable chemical company, and REBHAN FPS Kunststoff-Verpackungen GmbH, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of cosmetic packaging, have collaborated to bring a new generation of PET packaging to the beauty and personal care market, combining luxury aesthetics with enhanced recyclability and more sustainable options. Bringing together Indorama Ventures' expertise in specialty PET materials and REBHAN's packaging design and manufacturing capabilities, the collaboration has introduced LUXYCLEAR EBM PET 5508 to premium cosmetic packaging. Designed for extrusion blow moulding, the specialty PET grade enables thick-wall cosmetic bottles with exceptional clarity and transparency, delivering an elegant, glass-like appearance while offering PET's lightweight, durable and shatter-resistant benefits. The solution is ideal for premium beauty and personal care products where both aesthetics and performance are essential. In addition to the conventional virgin PET grade, LUXYCLEAR EBM PET 5508 is also available in versions with up to 100% chemically recycled content or mass-balanced certified renewable feedstock. These options allow brands to reduce reliance on virgin fossil resources while maintaining the same premium clarity, performance and product quality. The product is now commercially available to beauty and personal care brands across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Indorama Ventures advances circular fashion through RECO Collective 2026, empowering three Thai brands to transform rPET into market-driven sustainable fashion and lifestyle products. 01 Sep 2026 Collaborating with Thai brands CHANA, KH EDITIONS, and APPEAL Summerwear, together with Bulliontex, to transform recycled PET (rPET) into circular fashion that combines style and functionality with practical everyday use. Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL), a global sustainable chemical company, is taking RECO Collective into its 12th year under the theme "The Next Original," reinforcing its mission to promote recycling and upcycling knowledge while encouraging SMEs in the fashion industry to embrace recycled materials. The program focuses particularly on recycled polyester (rPET) yarns and fabrics made from post-consumer PET bottles, using these materials to create value-added products that combine distinctive design with consumer needs and market opportunities. Through collaboration across the value chain, from textile manufacturers and designers to industry partners, RECO Collective brings together stakeholders with a shared ambition to advance sustainability in business. This year, RECO Collective is working with three distinctive Thai fashion brands: CHANA, led by Mr. Chanajit Noodech; KH EDITIONS, led by Mr. Naphat Tansuwan and Ms. Panisara Maneerat; and APPEAL Summerwear, led by Ms. Thanawan Chantasahawat and Ms. Kansiri Chantasahawat. The designers will participate in the RECO Incubation Lab, an incubation program designed to deepen their understanding of circular materials and refine their concepts through a Circular Design process. From material selection and design to production trials and prototyping, the program equips participating brands with practical knowledge of sustainable design and management, enabling them to create products that meet functional and consumer needs while opening broader market opportunities. To support this year's learning and product development process, RECO Collective is collaborating with Bulliontex Co., Ltd., an experienced textile specialist and fabric developer. Bulliontex is providing recycled polyester fabrics for participating designers to experiment with and develop into finished products. The company will also contribute as a knowledge partner, sharing expertise and practical guidance on textile innovation, material properties, and ways to apply recycled materials effectively across different design and functional requirements. This collaboration is part of a broader effort to build a fashion ecosystem connecting raw-material producers, textile specialists, designers, and industry partners. Bulliontex transforms recycled polyester yarns from Indorama Ventures into high-quality fabrics suitable for further design applications, helping to connect recycled raw materials with fabric development, design, and ultimately value-added products. Indorama Ventures develops fibre-Integrated odour capture for hygiene and technical textiles. August 28, 2026 The patented, fragrance-free technology traps odour-causing molecules inside polyolefin and polyester fibre structures, offering an alternative to masking agents and antimicrobial approaches. Indorama Ventures will unveil a new fibre-integrated odour-control technology at the Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress in Austria on September 16-18, 2026, targeting absorbent hygiene and technical-textile applications where persistent malodour remains a difficult performance problem. Unlike conventional approaches that use fragrances to cover smells, the technology is designed to capture a broad spectrum of volatile organic compounds responsible for odour generation. Indorama says the functionality is incorporated directly into the fibre structure, potentially providing longer-lasting performance without depending on an applied perfume. Non-biocidal approach A notable feature is that the system is non-biocidal and fragrance-free, differentiating it from antimicrobial odour-control technologies that suppress microorganisms. The technology is compatible with both polyolefin and polyester fibres, opening applications across nonwoven structures used in adult incontinence, feminine hygiene and other absorbent products, as well as technical applications including air-conditioning systems. Indorama says the technology has been evaluated using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, sensory testing and real urine samples. Trials across different fibre configurations showed enhanced capture of odour-associated VOCs. The company plans a live demonstration at Dornbirn. From R&D to commercial fibre platform The development builds on earlier odour-trapping research within Indorama Ventures' hygiene operations. Its 2024 Sustainability Report identified next-generation odour trapping among the technologies under development within the group's hygiene portfolio. The resulting bicomponent-fibre products will be marketed under expera, Indorama's platform for hygiene fibres designed to add sensory, visual or tactile functionality. For nonwoven manufacturers, the commercial opportunity lies in adding odour management at fibre level rather than through downstream coatings or fragrances. The next evidence needed is quantitative: capture efficiency by compound, durability during storage and use, fibre-additive cost, processing compatibility and performance at industrial production speeds. Those figures will determine whether the technology becomes a differentiated premium feature or a broadly adopted hygiene-fibre functionality.
